Future Use of the Technology

Apple Pay is an example of technological innovations constantly being developed and new technology replacing old, standard methods. Nowadays, many people are always busy and on-the-go, trying to balance their work life and social life. Often, these new technological innovations like Apple Pay is faster and more convenient than old methods, which is important for a world where many people are so busy and short on time.
Although Apple Pay may sound like a step forward, there are still barriers to adoption. Apple reassures users of Apple Pay’s safe and private payment process but there are probably still people who are skeptical of this electronic transfer method and its security. Also, there are already many debit and credit cards that support tap payment which is just as easy and convenient as Apple Pay without the need for setting up and registering for Apple Pay on your phone. (Matt Siegel, 2016) In addition, retailers need to accept Apple Pay in order for customers to use this payment method. Therefore, Apple needs to overcome any resistance from both customers and retailers.
